(The Center Square) – Up to 350 workers face layoffs at the Mack Trucks plant near Allentown over the next three months after rising costs, lowering demand and looming tariffs forced the company’s hand.
Gov. Josh Shapiro said Tuesday that news is distressing, especially given the company’s does “everything right,” including manufacturing in the United States.
