When I started Positive Talk Radio, I didn’t have a big production team or financial backing. It wasn’t built from strategy or funding, it was built from the heart. I self-funded the show because I believed in the power of honest, uplifting conversations. I believed in people. I still do.
In the beginning, it felt like I was speaking into the void. No sponsors. No promises.
Just me, a mic, and a quiet hope that the stories we shared would land in someone’s life
right when they needed it most.
There were moments when I questioned it. Was it sustainable? Was anyone really listening? But something inside told me to keep going. To keep planting seeds, even if I couldn’t see anything sprouting just yet.
And now, something beautiful is happening.
People are showing up. Not just as listeners, but as supporters. Some are offering to pay for their slot on the show. Others are donating to help us keep going. That kind of support…it humbles me. Because no one has to do it. They choose to. That means the world to me.
It’s made me reflect on something simple but powerful: in life, we’re all planting seeds.
Every kind word, every bit of effort, every moment we show up even when it’s hard,it all matters. Even when no one’s clapping. Even when no one sees.
